Tamanna is the Core Lead at Shakti Shalini and has worked with the organization since 2015. From 2020-2021, she worked as a Consultant for Research and Communications at HAQ: Centre for Child Rights.
Tamanna taught Literature in English as a Teaching-Fellow at Ashoka University in 2019 and from 2021 to 2022, as well as a Guest Lecturer at Nirma University in 2022. In 2022, Tamanna served as a member of the Governing Bodies of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and Satyawati College, University of Delhi.
Tamanna graduated in M.Phil. English with first division and distinction from Delhi University in August, 2019. Her research was focused on the study of “domesticities in relation to violence and affect” within three autobiographies written by domestic violence survivors located in the Indian Subcontinent in the late 20th and early 21st Century.
Previously, Tamanna graduated in MA English in 2016, and in BA (HONS) English in 2014, from Hans Raj College, University of Delhi. She has written articles, life narratives, articles, research studies, and media content for academic and literary publications and for social sector organizations, and presented papers at academic conferences and seminars. She identifies as a feminist social activist, academic, writer, and educator.
